GLOS Confidence Workshop – Summerhouse EC

CONFIDENCE WORKSHOP

Morning: Understanding why we cannot just ‘get rid’ of negative thoughts and why it seems impossible to change how we feel and react by willpower alone. How we can make positive changes at a deeper level by using self hypnosis. Using performance coaching, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and Hypnotherapy sessions specifically designed for riders to overcome fears and build confidence. Lots of great coaching tips and ideas plus a full length hypnotherapy session designed to help you change how you feel, think and react, therefore enabling you to remain calmer and feel more in control.

Afternoon: Another therapy session involving confident rider hypnosis sessions plus self-hypnosis training. We design an easy to follow method of enabling you to utilize your experience of hypnosis earlier in the day and show you how you can adapt this as you build in your confidence. We establish a positive plan for the future. Ongoing support is always available.

Optional Mounted Sessions: These will be run after the main workshop. You will work for approximately an hour to an hour and a half, either individually or in a small group of a similar level. You will be sent a short questionnaire to fill in regarding your level of riding and what you would like to work on. I will be incorporating all the confidence work we have done during the day into the mounted sessions. These sessions are for beginners up to advanced riders.

Stabling:  There will be a charge for this by Summerhouse.  You can have a stable just for the day, or overnight.   Please contact the venue on 01452720288.  Please make sure you bring your hay/haylage and anything your horse needs.  The stable is to be left in a clean and tidy state.  We start at 10.0am and have a lot to fit in.  Please make sure your horse is completely settled in the stable and you are ready to start.

Ridden sessions will start after the main workshop ends (between 4pm and 5pm).  You will be sent times for your session.  If you are riding later or have not bought your horse, you are welcome to watch.

Refreshments:  We will supply tea/coffee and juice.  Please make sure you bring your lunch and any snacks you may need.

Main Workshop:  £85 for the day  10.00am – 4pm Rider Pack and Training Book provided.

Main Workshop with Mounted Session:  £120

ABERDEEN Confidence Workshop (mounted sessions)

Mounted Sessions : The mounted sessions will be divided into small groups, depending on the level and needs of the riders. The riding sessions bring together all the work we have done the day before. This is where you can start to put into practice what we have been working on. You are not required to make huge changes, but progress slowly at your own pace. Whilst one group is riding, the other riders will also be encouraged to watch.

Attendees are invited to send me a brief history of your riding, traumas and the difficulties you face at the present, together with what you would like to achieve. This can be sent to amanda@confidenthorserider.co.uk and is strictly private and confidential. The cost for two days is £145 The unmounted morning starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm.  The mounted day times will be announced nearer the time.

If you would like to book a day that is not on the calender, please email me and we can arrange a date to convenient to you.

MANCHESTER Confidence Workshop (classroom & mounted) – Venue to be announced

Confidence Workshop – This workshop will be classroom based in the morning and there will be mounted lessons in the afternoon.

Morning:  The morning starts with a brief overview of how and why we lose confidence (so you can understand what is going on in your physical body and your mind) and why you feel the feelings you do and why you cannot just tell yourself to ‘get over it’. We start with a plan of action to regain that confidence again. (This is also beneficial for riders who generally lack confidence, rather than having lost it). There will be an introduction to hypnosis and why this is hugly beneficial to riders, followed later in the morning by a longer hypnotherapy session for all the riders. Within the plan of action and depending on the difficulties faced by riders in this group, we also incorporate NLP exercises & Performance Coaching specifically designed for this particular group. All the work in the morning is designed to boost your confidence and help you change how you think, feel and react and therefore enable you to remain calmer and feel more in control when you ride.

Afternoon: The mounted sessions will be divided into small groups, depending on the level and needs of the riders. The riding sessions bring together all the work we have done earlier. Whilst one group is riding, the other riders will have some work to complete and will also be encouraged to watch.
Each rider will have a Rider Pack with information on the day plus a Training book for you to write out each exercise in your own words.
